A View from Mangyu

The view from my window
is threaded by spider silk -
thin weaves capturing
sun, shouldering the risen rock.
Crumbling years of aged scree
slope in long tones of red green and grey.
Jagged bits layering patterns
like the delicate application of mandala sand.

The light inside is aching,
spirit blocked by my boulder chest.
Time working its wear
to chistle the powder down.
