Election Update IV
Well, it's now six days until the election and the McCain campaign is getting visibly desperate. It seems everyday a new anonymous source from inside the McCain campaign calls Sarah Palin something new, rogue, a diva, and a whackjob are the three which I remember. The McCain campaign as well as Republican stooges nationwide have also turned to calling Obama some sort of socialist. Rush Limbaugh has gone so far as to call him a Marxist-Leninist. In a campaign speech yesterday, McCain actually accused Obama of, and I quote him word for word now, "running to be redistributionist-in-chief." This is all in response to an earlier comment by Obama to Joe the Plumber, in which he said that he would like to spread the wealth around. The real irony of the situation is that most of the people flinging this horseshit don't even understand what socialism is, forget the fact that every industrialized democracy on Earth practices major tenants of socialist dogma, including the US. But, whatever, we all have more pressing issues than discussing what smear the McCain campaign is going to use today. Obama's still ahead in the polls, widening in fact, thank Hanuman this thing is almost over.

Doug,
Thanks for the updates. I personally, have decided to 'go rogue'. Though I will not become a 'whack job'. That is just going TOO far!
I'm a big fan of Hanuman. I got an animated Hanuman DVD, and it was very cool. India has some great god-heros. Is that kind of the role 'superheroes' play in western culture? Perhaps you'll do a doctoral dissertation on that problem.
I'm no plumber, (and neither is Joe, but who seems to care). [I personally am convinced that Joe was a Republican plant.] As I was saying, I'm no plumber, but I'd like Washington to 'spread the wealth around', cuz that would mean some of the wealth would trickle down my way... probably in the form of good roads, or healthcare, or even schools!
Thanks Doug for your updates. Your pal in courage, - McFloozy

It's so interesting how critical everyone is and at the same time being completely uniformed. Three cheers for socialism!!
It's also so interesting what the international community thinks about this election - we were on line, waiting to see His Holiness the Karampa today and his secretary began to ask Peter about Global LAB and our programs. This inquiry ended with Justin and I explaining how we voted via absentee ballot and then who we thought should be president. The monk said that he doesn't care who as long as they are not killing people for no reason (he prefaced this by saying that he doesn't know anything about politics and truly has no opinion).
Things will be truly interesting as the next few days pass. I'm hungry for another update, Doug!
