I Feel

I feel
Alive
I feel happiness
I feel in touch with my inner self
Feelings I’ve never experienced
I feel
For the first time in my life
Like I am one with nature
And my surroundings
I feel
Another smile overcoming me
And another and another
I can’t stop smiling
Or feeling so happy
I feel freed from my past
The future is of no concern
Only the present
Only that, which surrounds me
I smell, smells like wood, leaves, flowers and fresh air
I smell nature
I smell myself being set free like
A bird from a cage
I fell like air, not light headed
But as if there is no weight on my shoulders
And whatever weight there was
Is gone forever
I’ve never breathed air so pure
I feel at home with myself
Every flower has a different and unique smell
The white mountains all around me
Yet not all are white
Some are brown and sandy
The peaks jagged and steep.
